Whether you’ve decided to adopt a plant-based diet as a New Year’s resolution, for your Health, the Environment, the Animals or all the above, fear not, we’ve got you covered.

Last year we put together a list of resources, from debates to apps to documentaries, to help with and ease into a new diet.

Songs -

Unsurprisingly, Reggae advocates for more compassionate living, something which extends to our plates and dining tables, but more surprising is the number of Hip-hop artists who also advocate veganism.

Beef by KRS-One: great tune, so forward thinking, pay attention to the lyrics.

Be Healthy by Dead Prez: Stic.man of Dead Prez turned vegan for health reasons and promotes it extensively through their music.

Wha Me Eat by Macka B: You may know his viral Cucumba video but the legend that is Macka B has been promoting healthy and ethical eating for years.

Comedies -

Chicken Run: A not-so subtle message, they’ve now released a second.

Babe: A role that lead actor James Cromwell to go vegan.

Carnage: Mockumentary set in a future where meat, dairy and eggs are outlawed.

Food -

There are so many delicious plant-based options and recipe books everywhere now, we really are spoilt for choice. Here are a few recommendations though:

Tofu Vegan: You’ll order the entire menu. Try the Dongbei Sweet Potato Noodles.

Club Mexicana: Simply brilliant. Try their kits for meals at home.

Gauthier: If you want to be dazzled… and have the dollar.

When Veganuary is feeling hard -

We all need a reminder sometimes of why we’ve decided to do something difficult.

Land of Hope and Glory: Short documentary about animal agriculture in the UK.

They’re Trying To Kill Us: The singular most deadly threat to American society that mainstream media doesn’t want to talk about. Watch for free in February!

Milk: From a cow’s perspective.

Cowspiracy: A true classic and must-see.

If you want to s*** your pants -

Hogwood: What we should most be afraid of is ourselves.

Discussions -

Earthling Ed: Aka Vegan Jesus, is a very compelling argumentator.

Joey Carbstrong: Doing some great work in the UK exposing common industry practices.

Looking ahead -

We are developing some truly incredible technologies that allow us to eat meat without destroying our planet, our health and billions of animals. We need to get behind them if we hope to address climate change.

Cellular Agriculture Society: Beautiful site clearly explaining groundbreaking technology.
